I am not a supporter of a one-world view, I do not agree that globalization of each nation is the only answer, I am a FIRM believer in sovereignty. But I will not try to fool you that over the last decades so many steps have been taken to make us a global pawn instead of a strong sovereign nation that we will have to unfold and untangle these efforts carefully to correct the myriad problems that have already been caused. But you need to remember, we have to think like a strong, virtuous, powerful and charitable nation in order to do so - we cannot think like citizens of a global community. When the rest of the world finds themselves in terrible trouble they call on us. Not to commiserate with them, not to share their sorrow. They call on us like a child calls on a parent, because they pray that we are strong and smart and wealthy enough to do something spectacular, to save them from destruction. When the rest of the world needs a hero, they call on us, and at that point they don't care if we have spurned their attempts to have us become just another global population - they pray we have ignored their pleas to be weak. They count on us to be sovereign and powerful, to make hard choices and carry them out with astonishing efficiency and ability. It is not wrong for us to be that hero, it is not somehow unfair to the rest of the world, we are not evil for being that hero. They will tell us it is, they will berate us for our confidence and genuine pride, they will try to convince us to hate ourselves because we have been blessed with what it takes to be a hero to the world. It is our responsibility, as God has given us every gift, every resource, and every internal instinct to be just that. We cannot be what the world needs unless we are strong, in individual spirit, in community ideal, in industry, in economy, in virtue. And somehow we have slipped from that place where we once stood strong. That place is not the fictional plateau that we are taught to believe today, it is a real place, we stood there and didn't just gaze wistfully at it from a distance, and it waits for our return. Our finest citizens in our finest hours knew what we needed to be, and because of generous hearts and not because of global peer-pressure saved the world due to their belief in the rightness of it and their dedication to the achievement of it. We need a new generation of finest citizens, and that starts with one dedication - to be what WE need to be, not what THEY need us to be, to fulfill our birthright as the greatest people in the greatest nation on earth. We need to be whole, healthy, and fully free to fulfill our destiny, and in fulfilling it, we can give aid in charity because we ourselves want to, not drain all of our resources because we are commanded to by others. Let not one more day go by in which we are anything less.

Thank you for your interest in the Nogy for Senate Campaign.

For decades, the Federal Government has worked to expand it’s authority beyond the limits established in the Constitution.  This was a slow process, until recently, and most of the groundwork was done out of the public spotlight.  The recent administrations, however, have begun to blatantly use the authority they have taken to promote causes, agendas, and legislation they have no right to discuss, let alone vote on and enact.

There can be no true change in Washington until the focus shifts from what a candidate promises he can deliver to you from Congress.  Only when the candidate focuses on what he can allow you to deliver for yourself, and what he can STOP the government from trying to give you, can there be a real difference.

I am that candidate.  I have distanced myself from any major party, preferring instead to run as an independent.  I have made a pledge to run for only one term and if elected not to run as a candidate for any other congressional office again.  I believe that you can be truly effective at doing the right thing when you have 3 key factors in your favor.  First, you cannot be worried about your re-election.  That is the tool most often used to force compromise where no compromise is permitted.  Second, you cannot be worried about the pressure your party can place on you.  Parties have agendas different than the citizens they represent, and many compromises are demanded in the name of party loyalty.  Third, you have to understand that you cannot be protected from the consequences of your actions forever.  Doing what is necessary to guarantee a long and prosperous career in Congress can provide you with a great deal of insulation from the effects of the legislation you promote.  If you have to return to work in the world your legislation shapes, you are much more likely to do the right thing for the citizens because you know you will return to your place as one of them.

As a father of three young children and husband to a wonderful wife and would-be entrepreneur, I have one other asset for this job.  While I want my children to grow up with a willing participation in their civic duties, I want their future to be clear for them to become what they want to become, to enjoy prosperity and happiness if they should want to work hard enough to achieve it.  I want my wife to own and grow the business that has been denied her due to excessive restriction brought on by government regulation and interference – a business that could become a family legacy.  A business that can produce something other than reams of paper and more bureaucracy, a business that can put people to work who would be paid by profit, not tax dollars.  In order to achieve what I want for my family, I have to deliver what you want for yours – the ability to be successful and happy and self-sustaining without excessive Federal government interference.  I have to be on your side – the salary of a Senator for 6 years will not provide for my family’s future.

Here’s how I propose to do just that.

The Supreme Law of the Land is the Constitution of the United States.  In order for the country to be healthy and prosperous under our current system, we must adhere to the laws of that system.  And since there has not been a Continental Convention called in which 80% of the citizens have voted to change the system or nullify the Constitution, it remains the premiere and supreme law under which the Federal Government needs to operate.

While other candidates will promise to promote progressive plans or liberal agendas, I promise no such thing.  I promise a real difference – to hold the seat I am elected to in accordance with the Constitution AS IT WAS WRITTEN (not as it is being moderately or liberally interpreted – it was written in clear English and doesn’t need interpreted), to use the vote of my office to block any unconstitutional action from discussion; to use the public face of my office to promote interest in Constitutional government in future candidates; and to help find and promote solutions to important issues that originate in the proper levels of government instead of falling back on the convenient use of the Federal Government as a tool.  And I intend to use my seat as a roadblock to the progress of unconstitutional big government legislation every chance I can.

You will find that I have strong opinions on issues, and those opinions steer my personal decisions and choices.  But I am not running for local Mayor or State Governor, where the authority and power lie to make those opinions into an agenda.  I am running for a position that is well defined and well restricted, and where my personal opinions don’t count for much.  But a strong ideal of holding the Constitution first and foremost can make all the difference in this seat.

Join me in bringing one seat in the US Senate back in line with the Supreme Law which governs it – the Constitution.  It is only one of one hundred seats, but the only way we can win this fight for the liberty and prosperity of the citizens of the Untied States is one seat at a time.

I am honored by your support and interest

Christopher Nogy
